Epic Field Gears Up for Chariots of Thunder 2025

Darwin, NT – The countdown is on for one of Australia’s most thrilling motorsport spectacles, with the latest nominations update as of 15 August 2025 confirming a stellar field of Sprintcars and Wingless Sprints ready to light up Northline Speedway.

Sprintcars – A National Showdown
The Sprintcar division is shaping up to be an all-star affair, boasting talent from every corner of the country. The Northern Territory will be proudly represented by NT11 Jordyn Charge, NT17 Lachlan Cole, NT27 Jet Thompson, NT28 Mark Phillips, and NT84 Chris Harrison, who will be looking to defend home turf against an onslaught of interstate challengers.

New South Wales sends N36 Eddie Lumbar and N56 Michael Saller, while Queensland lines up Q12 Micheal Pickens, NQ7 Lachlan McHugh, Q16 Brodie Davis, and Q46 Dylan Menz. South Australia’s strong five-car squad includes S11 Scott Enderl, S20 Glen Sutherland, S52 Michael Brown, S96 Brendan Guerin, and S98 Luke Storer.

Victoria’s contingent is headlined by V35 Jamie Veal, alongside V10 Steven Loader, V96 Dane Court, VA11 Phil Micallef, and VA43 Daniel Storer. From the west, W2 Dayne Kingshott, W14 Jason Pryde, W42 Kodi Clayden, WX22 Jay-Dee Dack, and WX92 Chad Pittard will be making the long haul north. Tasmania adds an exciting twist with T20 Tony Clasener and T22 Jock Goodyer set to challenge the mainland’s best.

Wingless Sprints – Huge Home Representation
The Wingless Sprint division promises equally fierce competition, with reigning Australian Champion A1 Tyson Martin leading the charge. The Northern Territory’s depth is unmatched, fielding an impressive 19 local drivers, including NT1 Blake Walsh, NT4 Sean Tiedeman, NT5 Daniel Goldoni, NT11 Raymond Walliss, NT13 Mathew McLennan, and many more fan favourites.

Interstate firepower comes from New South Wales’ N4 Jason Davis and NX47 John Egan, Queensland’s Q1 Casey O’Connell, Q4 Zane O’Toole, and Q49 Cody O’Connell, plus South Australia’s S5 Bailey Heinrich, S54 Alan Saint, and S57 Sharni Pitcher. Victoria’s V19 Sam Wren and V32 Chris Ansell add to the talent mix, alongside Western Australia’s W76 Blake Scarey.
