Darwin, NT – The streets of Darwin will roar to life on Wednesday, September 10, as the Chariots of Thunder Sprintcar Series brings back its highly anticipated Mitchell Street Motorcade, an unmissable family-friendly celebration in the heart of the city.
Kicking off at 5:30PM, the spectacle will see a vibrant convoy of sprintcars, drivers, and teams parade through the CBD, offering fans the rare opportunity to get up close to the stars and machines of one of Australia’s most exciting motorsport events.
Route Highlights
The motorcade will roll out from the top of Mitchell Street, weaving its way through Darwin’s entertainment precinct before turning onto Bennett Street at approximately 5:35 PM. From there, the procession will cruise along McMinn Street, before arriving at The Precinct at Darwin Waterfront for the COT Fan Night at 6:30 PM.

Following the motorcade, fans can meet their favourite drivers, snap photos with the cars, and enjoy interactive displays, giveaways, and entertainment for all ages. The Fan Night is a free event, making it the perfect mid-week outing for families, motorsport enthusiasts, and curious first-time visitors alike.
