CHARIOTS OF THUNDER SET FOR SEPTEMBER SHAKE UP

One of Australia’s favourite Sprintcar events is heading to September under a revised three day format, bringing racing fans all the action on 12-14 September 2024. Still escaping the southern states weather, the Event invites competitors and racing fans to join them at Darwin’s Northline Speedway to enjoy an actioned back three nights of Territory Tough racing.

The format will reset each night, giving competitors another chance to snap up the first place feature prize of $10,000 on Thursday and Friday and $15,000 on Saturday’s final round. This year, fans will see more racing than before with a two heat and feature’s format and the introduction of passing points. The famous ‘Pope Challenge’ is set to return with an added incentive of $5,000 guaranteed to the Challenger.

For competitors looking to add a couple extra laps under their belt, a double header is scheduled the week prior on 6-7 September.

This years’ event will support Speedway’s grassroots division, Junior Sedans with a demonstration event built into the program across all three nights showcasing the entry and peak of the sport. “This year’s program feature more Sprintcar racing than before and provides an opportunity for aspiring junior competitors to participate in a high-profile event” added President, Caleb Gotts.
